Feeling the power of Frida Kahlo today. Here is a recent 36” oil on panel.

I rarely draw with graphite anymore, I begin initial sketching in acrylic, and then finishing in oil. Using lost and found photographs, I “collage” my compositions into life. Average painting time is 3-5 months. This is a slow, incremental build with a very dynamic result.
